A little while ago Jess Reals got me this pad of paper (its from a company called Knock Knock that Sil and I discovered a few years ago.)  Recently people like Hannah and Sarah Ariola have been in my classroom and filled in their “To Don’t List”

The 4 sections are To Avoid-To Delay-To Pawn Off-To Sabotage and at the very bottom a little a check box that says NOT DONE.  Either email me or “comment” on your To Don’t list …. Look below for samples from Hannah, Sarah, Lily and Laura:to_dont

Lily:

Things to pawn off: Empty jars of peanut butter,rusty silverware and toeless or holey socks.
Things to sabotage: Other peoples lives (jk) The banners on certain peoples cellphones (you know who you are)
Things to avoid: Awkward eye contact with people in the car next to you.
Things to delay:Going to the bathroom ( i will wait as long as possible)
Laura:
pawn off- laundry, dishes
sabotage- white carpet in the main area of your house
avoid- waking the baby
delay-  doing laundry and dishes as looong as possible because then you have to put them away
Sarah:
Things to avoid:  eating tuna, heavy breathers, llamas (they smell funny), cats (spawn of satan), wearing a neon yellow sweathsirt
It’s ok to Delay:  cleaning my room, taking a shower, vacuuming under tables, chaning toliet paper roll
Things to pawn off:  trolls, beanie babies, shruken sweaters, floppy discs, dolphin charm bracelet
To Sabotage:  unlace all of Joes shoelaces, put confettin in Sils purse, place rotten banana in Kyles glove compartment, leave a trail of cheerios from Jessicas kitchen to her bedroom, steal Hannah’s turtlenecks
Hannah:
To avoid: Mom Jeans, Church orcehtra skirts, Jumpers, Stirrup Pants, Kyle … bad news, Sarah Ariola
TO Delay:  Flossing …its overated, removing carpet from lawn, Haning out with Kyle, talking to Jessicas grandma
To Pawn off:  Kyle and his truck, Jessicas Jelly shoes,  Santa belt, some of Sil’s travel mugs, Hannnah Montana Collection
To Sabotage:  Kyle …always, Jessica … xmas in july, decorations all over house, Jessicas candy drawer, Sarahs sweatpant collection, all the school pictures jessica has of herself
SIL:
To pawn off: Kyle’s Lego Club Magazine collection, Jessica’s “sandy” sweatshirt, Joe’s medieval arsenal, christmas sweaters, Hannah’s pirate from feats of clay
To sabotage: jess’s purse, people’s background pictures on their phones, windshield wipers (what?), people’s fridge decorations, camp fires, the paddock’s chandolier’s
To delay: going to the bathroom (yes lily!!), wearing real shoes instead of my fleece lined crocs, running out of paper towels, putting gas in my car (always wait til i have zero miles to go), returning movies to the redbox or library, washing my travel mugs
To avoid: being without my phone, parking tickets, coworkers you never talk to that you recognize in the store, face talkers (the ones with the bad breath and no concept of personal space), inviting kyle out to eat (you’ll be paying for him), sheree in the morning

Sheree:

Things to Avoid: Sil at work – Any topic that could lead into an Indian joke – starting “The Lord Reigns” – Cocktail umbrellas at camp – sad movies in public – Driving when you don’t have to – grandma candy

Things to Delay: getting out of bed on a cold morning

Things to Pawn off: re-gifted Christmas trinkets

Things to Sabotage: Work coffee – office gossip – Kyle’s duck hunting boots (nothing should be that big) – tacky cubical decorations – Sil’s bright green gloves – chain emails with a seemingly noble message that end by condemning the reader to a life of hopeless despair if they either choose to delete it or don’t forward it to AT LEAST 1,000 people.
